Lemon Water with Ginger

Lemon water with ginger is the first thing I drink as soon as I wake up. The lemon helps get rid of toxins, alkalizes your body and helps digestion by promoting the production of bile. It also has essential nutrients like potassium, vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. Ginger is a natural antibiotic, it helps reduce inflammation and picks-up your metabolism.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of spring water
  • ½ a lemon 
  • 1tbsp freshly grated ginger

Instructions:

Squeeze the lemon juice into the glass of warm water (or cold water if you prefer), stir in the ginger. Best to drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
